About

Jules Hart, based in Grand Junction, Colorado, brings a unique perspective to her ceramics, shaped by her upbringing in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Her work reflects her thoughts on human connection to both place and continuity. Hart aims for her ceramics to evoke a sense of rest and appreciation for the simple and useful aspects of life. Each piece serves as a reminder of the natural world and the comfort found in thoughtfully crafted, everyday items.

Many of my current studies involve the incorporations of wild clays and paper materials. I’m interested in the impermanence of paper and the solidity of clay. Desert and river clays offer a rich and sound canvas to apply my explorations and inquiries in surface, texture, and space.
